Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on the 22nd of August 1995 within London United Kingdom. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 following her joined Warner Bros Records. It peaked in at the number three spot in the U.K. charts for albums and featured eight singles which included the U.K. top-ten track New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa received the Brit Awards as a British female solo artist as well as British debut act in 2018. The album was certified platinum worldwide. Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. It is also possible to trace her ancestral roots through Peja in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Gjin along with Rina are her twins. Her musical inspirations come from her father who is the lead singer and guitarist of Kosovan The rock band Oda. Her father played music at home, including songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she began singing. At the age of nine she learned how to sing. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not gone You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa was signed to Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single, was released in August 2015.
