Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes focused on Tamil or Malayalam-language films. Her acting debut was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was raised in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian home. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister who resides in Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was born as a child in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight year old classical musician who was an avid geek. Young Stars was the Jackson Five band Andrea joined after turning 10-years-old. This led to her first professional singing experience and her early musical composition. At her university, she was also performing as a theatre artist in stage productions produced by The Madras Players. Andrea was also an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo commercial for coffee alongside actor Shiva in the year 2006. She also starred in a show that was broadcast on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. She was a part of a short performance in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the final episode. Gautham is a character in the film. Menon invited her after she performed a number in the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film to be featured as the lead female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani a homemaker whose husband engages in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was part of the cast after Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. It was first released in the early part of the year 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was came out in August 2011. Annayum Rasoolum directed by Rajeeev Ravi, the romantic comedy she made her debut in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
