Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan, also known as the Queen of Funk, is a popular American singer-songwriter. She has received a total ten Grammys during her career that spans more than fifty years. Billboard named her the 65th-most accomplished dancer ever. The grandmother who introduced her to jazz while she was just a young girl. The first step in her professional career was being in different bands. Later, she joined the group Rufus. The group recorded her first record in her 20s. One year later they won their debut Grammy. She released her self-titled debut album in the years that followed her solo debut. In the following years, she has released a few other albums such as "Echoes Of An Era", "The Woman I am" and one song dubbed 'Funk This". She is also known for her charity work. Chaka Khan Foundation was established to assist children of poor families as well as people who suffer from autism. Khan additionally acts as an actress from time to time. She was Sister Carrie, the lead role in the musical "Mama, I'd Like to Sing'.
